Tropez is the best brand. The "green" undertones really blend well with my olive skin tone and it looks natural. It also sets really nicely and does not transfer on clothing, bedding, towels, etc. My only complaint is that the suggested mitt is trash. It soaks up way too much product and I ran out too soon. So when I repurchased it, I used rubber gloves and say a noticeable different in application and longevity.
Then I use a makeup brush on my face, neck, hands, and feet. Overall great product! I love this self tanner, although it's the first brand I've ever used, I have yet to explore others out of fear! This one has great coverage and not orange like I had feared! However, there are a few things I'm not crazy about, the smell being one of them after it's been applied while waiting to hours, smells awful! Secondly, On my stomach and chest, about a week after application it becomes very very patchy and I have to scrub my skin raw to get it off, and lastly after a few uses from the bottle, the tanner seems to fade in color when I go to apply it!
The first few uses I get a beautiful dark tan, after that it's like a medium okay-ish tan. Other than that, I love it! Honestly, it could be worse!! Compared to the other bronzers in this line, it does have a more green undertone to it. When I first applied it, I definitely noticed the green undertone, but it turned to a dark bronze soon after.
This was just my experience, and I am very pale, so that may not be the case for all skin tones. The coverage is buildable, it dries very quickly, and it fades evenly. One application lasted about days for me. I've tried sooo many self tanners, and this one is hated by me.
It's very difficult to apply, and made me look dirty. I don't even look dark, I just look dirty. For the price of this, I would have came out better getting a professional spray tan at the salon. Jergen's Deep Bronze Mousse applies so much easier and looks so much better.
I regret buying this product. This would be great for you if you're a beginner to self tanning and ONLY want a base tan. I'm pretty fair skinned and I used the Dark shade and barely even noticed a difference.
It fades unevenly and really fast. I honestly think the bad reviews come from ppl who don't know how to use this product. I apply it at night , wait a little to dry , put a dark sheet under me in bed and I wash it off in the morning. The difference is huge since I'm very pale. You need to know how to shower and what not to use when you r self tanning. With care it stays on me for about a week or a little longer.
I normally use the St Tropez express but wanted to try a different formula to see if it would make me a little more tan.
I will say that u look dark when u apply the tanner due to the color guard however it all washes off in the shower. Unfortunately, I will not be repurchasing. I will just stick with the St Tropez Express.
The color is nice it is definitely sticky tho so idk why they said it wasn't. Definitely better if you want a more olive complexion. I like this one a lot more then the classic.
I didn't notice a huge difference in the darkness though. I would say it's just more of an olive hue rather then the original color. It definitely dries much faster though so it's easier to use before bed. Gives great color, no complaints, just wish it was a little darker. I like the color of this stuff. I have a yellow skin tone and the greenish tint works really well with it! And it applies smoothly, and has a great guide color- it's easy to tell if you missed a spot, and in my experience it develops evenly.
It doesn't fade evenly. It fades very splotchy and weird, and I have a hard time getting it off. It's good if you need it for one or two days, but not really anything longer than.

I need to exfoliate more I know, but then I don't get dark enough. So like I said when I have enough money maybe I'll try the darker mousse. I'm very pale and had to apply twice to get more than a shade or two darker.
The color looked very natural and not orange at all on the first day. But by day three it started fading very badly. I've got some white patches where the tan has faded completely, some orange patches where the color's built up, and a perfect white outline of my bra and underwear where it's rubbed off.
Exfoliating and moisturizing hasn't helped. And even though I did patch test it, I ended up having an allergic reaction and got hives along my chest and back. Recently bought the mini version to try it out. I've tried out other self tanners like the loving tan one in the shade medium, and this is by far WAY better! I'm more of a olive medium skin tone, and tried the loving tan one in the shade medium but it was somewhat orange.
This st. Tropez classic one is so much nicer and doesnt look orange at all!! I was scared that that it wouldn't show up on me too much since there wasn't other shades, but i left it on for the minimum time 4 hours and then washed it off, and wow! I look so tan. So so natural! Definitely best on I've tried. Also i don't usually leave reviews this is like my second one but i had to for this product! Natural tan for sure.
Was easy for me to use as someone kind of new to self tanner. Nothing like old tanners use to be, but it did have a warmer tone. I wouldn't sleep in it tho, would be a bit tacky feeling.
But I still really like this product! Definitely use a mit tho, helps a lot! This smells better than most and is an okay tanning product. I just hate how uneven it fades. It's crazy uneven. I'll always be a fake bake girl I guess. But overall it's not a bad product.
I just won't buy again because like I said, I haven't found anything bad about fake bake. I will never buy anything from St. Tropez again. This product caused an allergic reaction. The smell was also terrible. I will be returning this ASAP. I'm really impressed with this brand. This product does a good job of mirroring the natural color I get when tanning. It's not fake or orange at all!
I feel like the mousse consistency makes the product spread easily and helps prevent streaks and messy cleanup like sprays I'm used to.
I applied the mousse with gloves hands and buffed it into my skin with a mitt. Tip: I like to put on tanners right before bed to prevent sweating or needing to wash hands or anything that could compromise the ability of the tanner to work its magic.

Reminder that the mousse itself has a dark color to show you where the tan will be, so when you shower later, that is what is coming off, not the actual tan that has been developing over the 8 hour window. Rest assured you will still be tan even though the water looks dark!
