There is however a problem with default snake positioning. It does not follow terrain on the slopes. This looks weird when you see one, as it usually has one side suspended in the air. This reminds me of cows on the hills in Arma 2.
They would have rear hooves high above the ground with their heads buried in the ground. It clearly works as you can see from the video.
I spawned 50 snakes around player for a quick test and ordered them to follow me on each frame while adjusting their vectorUp on each frame too. If all snakes are killed or deleted, the loop will exit. My guess is because all other commands are fundamentally based on ASL position. Here is the script I used in the video for you to try for yourself. It included FPS ticker in the script because I wanted to know how badly 50 snakes could affect performance. Thanks Pal. Thanks for helping a noob.
That's very kind of you, I am a rookie noob too. Originally posted by Doctor Swifto :. Okay when you hover the cursor in the correct place, for example the car door, there will be an icon that looks like a steering wheel also on the left in text it will say get in as driver that is when you click or press enter. For opening building doors, those that can be entered will have an icon shaped like two arrows facing outwards to open if you have the cursor in the right place over the door.
To close, the icon will be two arrows facing inwards. In both cases click the text on the left or press enter. To check the inventory of an accessible vehicle hover the cursor usually at the rear end but varies, you will get an icon that looks like a rifle, a menu on the left pops up that says gear, click that or press enter.
Keep in mind that the class names in CfgModels entries have to correspond with the actual model names to get model linked with the model config. After you are done with the model config, you can use Object Builder with Buldozer to verify that the work you did on the model config and in the model itself is correct and behaves as intended. Following example game config is for the custom building that was configured by the model and model.
This example should be saved into config. After you are done with setting up game config part, make sure to pack everything properly and your building and all doors should be ready to use in the game. Please keep in mind that rebuilt terrain without an updated navmesh can cause issues with AI walking through doors.
